The check in was in another location opposite Kyoto Station. You have to walk a fair bit to reach the ResiStay office. The registration was quick (if you check in online prior to arriving). ResiStay will give instructions on how to check in 3 days before arrival (if I remembered correctly). If you don't do that.. then the check in process will take a longer time. The one way shuttle to the accommodation is a big plus after check in. The staff at registration counter are very courteous and well mannered. Kudos to the team. ResiStay also provides free shuttle back to the accommodation after you return from sightseeing but you must go to their office to book the service. Very convenient. The location of the accommodation is near to bus stop & Gojozaka Train Station (Keihan Line). You can go anywhere easily. Yasaka Shrine, Kiyomizu Dera Temple, Nannensaka & Sannenzaka street are all within walking distance. If you love walking, you can explore Gion and the surrounding areas. Otherwise you can take a bus or train. Plenty of eateries down the street. Family Mart, Lawson and 7 Eleven is nearby. The room 303 is allocated for booking.com - it is quite small to house 5 pax but we managed. We enjoyed watching movies after a long day outside - just to chill. It is from a projector & gives the cinema feel. Very nice. Many channels. ResiStay is very thoughtful - they even have a manual in the accommodation - where they gave directions on how to go around to places of interest by bus and by train. Also what are the restaurants nearby. All in all, we enjoyed our stay at ResiStay Gojozaka. Will definitely stay here again - if we are in Kyoto.

I low key want to gatekeep this property lmao but they were too good to not leave a review. You check in at a separate location but the staff is still very accommodating. They even gave us all fresh cool towels since it was a warm day. The rooms themselves were our favorite of the whole trip. It's more like a private apartment. We had two bunk beds which were comfortable, and the room came with both a TV and a projector so we were able to watch new episodes of our show from the comfort of our beds. Toilet is separate from the washroom, and the washroom itself was bigger than most. Lots of space at this location, and we even had a balcony. We missed this spot immediately after checking out lol

This is our second stay with Resistay. We booked 2 apartments and it was very nice of the reception to arrange our apartments next to each other. This time we stayed for 9 nights. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious, with all the amenities, suitable for family vacation. The washing machine is a plus for long stays. Location is near to to many places of interest like Kiyomizu temple, as well as convenient store like Family Mart, 711, Lawson. Easily accessible by taxi, train (Keihan Railway) and buses. There are some nice café around the quiet street at the back of the apartment and nice restaurants along the main street. We really enjoyed our stay and looking forward to many more Resistay.

Stayed for 5 nights. It was the most roomiest hotel we stayed in. a family of five with storage in the room for our suitcases. Washing machine & 6 detergent pods. Good size fridge. Comfortable beds. Space to park our pram beside the shoe storage. short walk to Kiyomizu-dera and train station. drink machine at the front door. The reception was very convenient across the road from the Kyoto train station (just came from Osaka) The gentleman made it very easy to check in, and they had a courtesy bus to take us to our accommodation.

Very well organised check in that provided clear and detailed information along with great advice on places to visit. The transfer to the property was a real help. The property provided us with a great base from which to explore Kyoto. It was well placed for accessing a range of sights and within easy walking distance of restaurants and shops. Our room was clean, comfortable and provided a good range of amenities. We would stay here again.
