RESI STAY Gojozaka

We stayed in the room layout with the bunk bed as a group of 4 friends. It was so comfortable, spacious, and functional. The beds were also comfortable, each person had their own privacy, and check-in/check-out process was easy. There is even a shuttle bus to the hotel from Kyoto station check-in counter which is <5min walk from central gate exit.

Clean, comfortable, well maintained facilities. Excellent customer service except for check-in procedure.

The check in was in another location opposite Kyoto Station. You have to walk a fair bit to reach the ResiStay office. The registration was quick (if you check in online prior to arriving). ResiStay will give instructions on how to check in 3 days before arrival (if I remembered correctly). If you don't do that.. then the check in process will take a longer time. The one way shuttle to the accommodation is a big plus after check in. The staff at registration counter are very courteous and well mannered. Kudos to the team. ResiStay also provides free shuttle back to the accommodation after you return from sightseeing but you must go to their office to book the service. Very convenient. The location of the accommodation is near to bus stop & Gojozaka Train Station (Keihan Line). You can go anywhere easily. Yasaka Shrine, Kiyomizu Dera Temple, Nannensaka & Sannenzaka street are all within walking distance. If you love walking, you can explore Gion and the surrounding areas. Otherwise you can take a bus or train. Plenty of eateries down the street. Family Mart, Lawson and 7 Eleven is nearby. The room 303 is allocated for booking.com - it is quite small to house 5 pax but we managed. We enjoyed watching movies after a long day outside - just to chill. It is from a projector & gives the cinema feel. Very nice. Many channels. ResiStay is very thoughtful - they even have a manual in the accommodation - where they gave directions on how to go around to places of interest by bus and by train. Also what are the restaurants nearby. All in all, we enjoyed our stay at ResiStay Gojozaka. Will definitely stay here again - if we are in Kyoto.

The room was a great size for a family of 5 (2 teens and a toddler). Having a washing machine in the room, which also had laundry pods, was super handy. The location was amazing, short stroll to whatever we needed and wanted to do. We also hired a car for the 8 nights we were in Kyoto, the public car park is pretty much next door and very cheap. Having a smoking room in the lobby was an added bonus!

This is our second stay with Resistay. We booked 2 apartments and it was very nice of the reception to arrange our apartments next to each other. This time we stayed for 9 nights. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious, with all the amenities, suitable for family vacation. The washing machine is a plus for long stays. Location is near to to many places of interest like Kiyomizu temple, as well as convenient store like Family Mart, 711, Lawson. Easily accessible by taxi, train (Keihan Railway) and buses. There are some nice café around the quiet street at the back of the apartment and nice restaurants along the main street. We really enjoyed our stay and looking forward to many more Resistay.
